Emma M. McCaffrey is a Consulting Actuary with Perr&Knight. She has over 30 years of experience in the property & casualty insurance industry in the areas of pricing and reserving. She currently provides actuarial consulting services to self-insured entities, risk retention groups, captive insurers and insurance companies on various lines of insurance which include workers compensation, general liability, professional liability and auto liability. These services include reserve analyses, funding studies, cost allocation, retention level and captive feasibility studies. Her clients include construction and engineering entities, healthcare industry entities, hospitality industry companies, religious entities and public entities.
Prior to joining Perr&Knight, her employment included ARM Tech (a division of Aon), Automobile Club of Southern California, Balboa Insurance Company, SCPIE Insurance Company, Milliman U.S.A., and Zurich Insurance Company. In addition to reserves analyses and recommendations, her prior responsibilities included rate adequacy review and rate filings for various states, as well as large account pricing and development of rating plans for various personal and commercial lines of insurance which included homeowners, automobile, lender-placed insurance, farmowners, medical malpractice and workers compensation.
Emma graduated from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and earned a Master of Science in Operations Research from Michigan State University. She is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member in the American Academy of Actuaries.
