Dee Dee Mays is a Principal with Perr&Knight and has been providing consulting services since 2000. As Chief Actuary, she is responsible for the leadership and general management of Perr&Knight’s Actuarial Practice area. Dee Dee has extensive experience providing ratemaking and reserving analyses for most lines of business. She now specializes in personal lines and has enjoyed assisting multiple insurance companies, MGAs and insurtechs with developing and managing new and established insurance programs. Dee Dee also has considerable experience with workers compensation ratemaking and reserving projects. In addition, she has provided expert testimony on numerous occasions at proceedings held before administrative and state court levels.
Dee Dee has been providing property & casualty actuarial services to insurance companies, self insured public and private entities and rating bureaus since 1988. Prior to joining Perr&Knight’s Boca Raton, Florida office, she worked for the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) for over 10 years, where she served in various roles of increasing responsibility. Her prior work experience also includes the Workers Compensation unit of Kemper Property & Casualty Insurance Companies’ Actuarial Department.
Dee Dee graduated from DePaul University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, with a concentration in Actuarial Science. She has since become a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. She actively continues her professional education at industry-sponsored actuarial and insurance-related seminars and workshops. Committees she has served on include the American Academy of Actuaries Casualty Practice Council and Automobile Insurance Committee and the Casualty Actuarial Society Examination Committee.
