Philip (“Phil”) Richied is a Senior Actuarial Consultant with Perr&Knight. Phil has a large amount of experience working in ratemaking and new product development primarily in personal auto. While at Perr&Knight, Phil has been working on a wide variety of projects in both ratemaking and reserving for multiple lines of business in both personal and commercial lines.
Prior to joining Perr&Knight in March 2021, Phil worked as a Senior Actuarial Analyst at Utica National Insurance Group located in Utica, NY for 5+ years. He was involved in the roll out of multiple new business products in Personal Auto creating Excel raters and testing the rating. Phil was also responsible for 20 personal auto reviews creating indications, the proposals for internal management, developing the rates, and completing filing support working in the states of NY, CT, OH, NC, and VA. He also gained much experience creating and validating datasets at this company.
Phil graduated from Cedarville University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with an Actuarial Science Minor in 2014. He became an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries in 2020.
