Pujan Shah, ACAS, MAAA

Pujan Shah is a Senior Actuarial Consultant with Perr&Knight. Pujan specializes in ratemaking and filing support, which includes preparing rate indications, calculating policyholder rate impacts, preparing actuarial support, and drafting rate/rule manuals. Pujan has experience with both personal and commercial lines including pet insurance, private passenger auto, surety/fidelity, contractual liability, commercial auto, medical malpractice, professional liability, inland marine, commercial property, and commercial multiple peril. Pujan has worked on products that utilize independent rating plans as well as bureau-based ratings, including Insurance Services Office and the Surety & Fidelity Association of America. Pujan has assisted clients by building Excel-based rating tools across multiple coverages, which blend a front-end user experience with back-end rating calculations. Pujan also has experience preparing reserve reviews, funding estimates, and feasibility studies for insurance companies, captives, and self-insured entities.
Prior to joining Perr&Knightâs Boca Raton, Florida office in December 2017, Pujan worked as a Financial Analyst at United Technologies Corporation. In this role he helped with the implementation and maintenance of accounting and business control applications. He has also held the position of Pension Analyst at Willis Towers Watson where he helped prepare funding and accounting actuarial valuations for pension and other post-retirement benefit plans.
Pujan graduated from the Ohio State University in May 2013 with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Actuarial Science with a minor in Economics. Pujan is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society, as well as a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
