Perr&Knight is excited to announce that Maria Polo Alvez, Steven Rosso and Traci Snoddy were awarded grants for the 2nd quarter of 2025 through PK’s charitable grant program. In total, $750 will be distributed to three charities, with each recipient supporting a cause that is especially meaningful to them.

Maria Polo Alvez chose to support PKIF1A.org, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals and families affected by KIF1A Associated Neurological Disorder, which is a rare, degenerative condition that mainly impacts children. A close relative to Maria is living with this disorder. KIF1A.org is working relentlessly to accelerate research, discover treatments, and ultimately find a cure. Their commitment offers hope to families like Maria’s and she’s proud to support their mission.

Steven Rosso, ACAS, MAAA directed his grant to Fireman’s Fund of the Gaithersburg-Washington Grove Fire Dept Inc., which serves roughly 127,000 people in the department’s “first due” area by providing fire/rescue services in Montgomery County, Maryland. Steven volunteers for 36 hours a month operating as an EMT for GWGVFD. This grant will help fund the acquisition of items such as automatic electronic defibrillators, backboards, and other emergency medical equipment for emergency units as well as uniforms and protective gear.

Traci Snoddy chose Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation Inc. for her grant award. Several members of Traci’s family suffer with Crohn’s Disease and she knows first hand how disruptive this disease is to one’s life and enjoyment of such. The toll is mental as well as physical. The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-fueled organization dedicated to finding cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and improving the quality of life children and adults affected by these diseases.

Perr&Knight is proud to stand behind the inspiring work of these organizations and applauds Maria, Steven and Traci for their dedication to making a difference!
