Mitchell (“Mitch”) Paden is a Principal & Consulting Actuary with Perr&Knight with over 15 years of property & casualty insurance experience.  Mitch leads Perr&Knight’s Predictive Analytics unit, responsible for modeling projects including rate development, underwriting, independent peer review of models and claim analytics. His team develops models and delivers actionable solutions for clients.  Mitch’s experience also expands to a wide range of actuarial consulting services with a focus on loss reserving and ratemaking for multiple lines of business.  He currently serves as the Appointed Actuary for multiple insurance companies.  In addition to ratemaking and reserving work, Mitch supports clients through product filings across various jurisdictions.  He also works extensively with California personal auto and homeowners programs to provide clients with recommendations on rate and class plan changes and required filing support.

Prior to his tenure at Perr&Knight, Mitch was employed at Farmer’s Insurance.

Mitch graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics/Economics.  He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
