Jeff Lamy, ACAS, MAAA

Jeff Lamy is a Consulting Actuary with Perr & Knight and has more than 25 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry. He joined Perr & Knight in December 2025 and provides actuarial services to insurance companies, captive insurers, and other risk-bearing organizations, with a focus on reserving, retention, and funding studies and analyses.

Prior to joining Perr & Knight, Jeff spent over 25 years at Assurant, where he most recently served as Vice President and Senior Actuary. In that role, he supported numerous property and casualty lines, including Homeowners and several niche personal and commercial lines. He led global reserving and reporting teams across the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific and oversaw more than $20 billion in reserves. Jeff also directed a multi-year reserving modernization initiative and served as the appointed actuary for multiple legal entities. He has extensive experience working with executive leadership, regulators, and external auditors, translating complex actuarial analyses into clear, actionable insight.

Jeff earned a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Mathematics from Florida State University. He is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
