Darren Totten is a Director in Perr&Knight’s PK1Cloud Department, where he leads the design and delivery of data and AI products and services.  With more than 25 years of experience in P&C insurance software, Darren has deep expertise across policy, claims, billing, compliance, and enterprise data integration. He specializes in building high-performing teams and developing innovative platforms that improve speed to market, compliance, and operational efficiency for insurers.

At Perr&Knight, Darren leads the advancement of PK1Cloud’s data solutions and AI agent platform, driving the integration of emerging technologies into practical tools for insurers.

He also led development teams to create a new product development application for state filings and modernize and expand the core capabilities of the statistical reporting applications, through agile practices, CI/CD pipelines, and scalable product frameworks.

Prior to Perr&Knight, Darren held senior leadership roles at Insurity, OneShield, and Next Level Solutions, where he directed large-scale software development initiatives spanning enterprise data platforms, claims modernization, and cloud-native implementations. His experience includes new product development, architecting data solutions, overseeing policy and claims system conversions, and integration of leading insurance vendor platforms.

Darren’s career is defined by his ability to align emerging technologies with insurers’ evolving needs, bridging business and technical teams to deliver practical, market-leading solutions.
