Tyler Reed is a Director, Predictive Analytics. Tyler’s experience includes rate development, reserve analyses, underwriting evaluation, and other predictive analytic solutions across Personal and Commercial lines of business. Tyler works extensively with advanced statistical modeling and machine learning techniques to provide practical solutions to insurance business problems. He has developed models to find actionable solutions to improve rating classification, case reserve estimates, and quote competitiveness, among others. He also provides model peer reviews and regulatory support for insurance model filings.

Prior to joining Perr&Knight, Tyler held positions with MedMal Direct Insurance Company, the Florida Department of Insurance, and Florida Family Insurance Company. In these positions, Tyler assisted in regulatory filings, database management, and reserving while also offering insights and tools to improve underwriting outcomes and efficiency.

Tyler has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Florida. Tyler is an Associate of the Casualty Actuary Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
