Muhammad A. Fahad, ACAS, MAAA
Muhammad Fahad is a Consulting Actuary with Perr&Knight. Muhammad has experience in ratemaking, reserving, and product development projects with emphasis on commercial lines. Muhammad provides actuarial services for a variety of consulting projects including developing rate level indications, competitor comparisons, rate/rule filing support, reserve analyses and funding estimates for insurers, captives and self-insured entities. Muhammad’s experience includes working with commercial auto, medical malpractice, professional liability, businessowners, commercial property, general liability, and surety insurance products.
Prior to joining Perr&Knight’s Boca Raton, Florida office in 2019, Muhammad worked as a Senior Actuarial Analyst at Mutual of Enumclaw Insurance Company in the state of Washington. His responsibilities included assisting Product Management in executing final decisions and work products; planning, coordinating, and implementing commercial lines rate reviews as well as developing rate level indications for commercial insurance products. Some of his key accomplishments included improving the quality of company’s commercial lines data; setting up re-rate processes to reduce rate review development timelines thus increasing speed to the market; and improving the profitability of commercial insurance products through introduction of new rating variables and predictive modeling techniques. Muhammad began his actuarial career at State Auto Insurance Companies where he was responsible for analyzing rate adequacy for Homeowners insurance product; recommending pricing adjustments; data retrieval and analysis; and technical writing.
Muhammad received a Master of Science in Mathematics with a concentration in Actuarial Science from Illinois State University in 2010. He is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society and continues his professional development through industry-sponsored actuarial and insurance-related seminars. Muhammad is also a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
