Brendan Leonard is a Consulting Actuary with Perr&Knight. Brendan’s actuarial consulting work includes ratemaking and reserving projects, as well as extensive project management experience. His ratemaking experience spans various personal and commercial lines, including commercial property, credit-related products, general liability and professional liability programs, including hospital, physician and surgeons’ medical malpractice, lawyers, accountants, and directors & officers liability. His reserving experience ranges from product-specific reviews for individual accounts to multi-million dollar company-wide reviews. He has also worked closely with insurance company financial reporting departments to prepare various exhibits for the property & casualty annual statement.
Prior to joining Perr&Knight’s Boca Raton, Florida office in January of 2009, Brendan was a Director at Assurant Specialty Property in Miami, Florida. He began his actuarial career with The Travelers Insurance in Hartford, Connecticut in 1993.
Brendan graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics of Operations Research. He became an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries in 1999.
