Manager of Software Development – Office or Telecommuting

Our Enterprise Software Services Unit is seeking a Manager of Software Development to join our team and help pioneer Perr&Knight’s innovative next generation web platform and SaaS applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of C#, .Net, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and will be able to shape the application from day one.

What you’ll bE DOING:

Primary responsibilities include:

    • Architect, design, and implement user-facing features end-to-end
    • Manage team dedicated to bug fixes and feature creation
    • Develop, manage and prepare best software development team
    • Guide, coach and mentor software development engineers
    • Supervise architecture and lead efforts to develop technical road map of projects
    • Establish and stimulate software development standards and processes along with best practices for delivery of scalable and high quality software
    • Develop relations with existing and prospective internal customers to interpret all individual requirements
    • Ensure top quality design reviews attaining business goals
    • Supervise resource allocation to assure personnel development goals
    • Manage and execute software development projects from conception to finish
    • Supervise project status including, evaluation, development and updating schedules
    • Work with product managers, designers, and engineers to prototype and implement product features
    • Collaborate and communicate effectively with all team members, as well as hold regular team meetings
    • Communicate effectively with engineers, product managers, customers, and partners
    • The position entails, 33% development / 33% architecture / 33% working on requirements, mentor ship and supervision

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • 10+ years of IT delivery experience
  •  Extensive knowledge of C#, .Net, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Understanding of advanced IT concepts
  • Ability to think creatively and imaginatively
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with deadlines
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to complete tasks with few conceptual, structural, technical and cosmetic errors
