Director Of Product Design

We are currently seeking a Director of Product Design who will report to the Chief Operating Officer and oversee the Product Design consulting practice area.   This position will work out of either our Boca Raton, FL or Fort Worth, TX office.  Telecommuting will also be considered.

What you’ll be doing:

The Director of Product Design will report to the Chief Operating Officer and oversee the Product Design consulting practice area.  The Director will be responsible for leading a staff of eight insurance professionals who perform the following services:

    • Review insurance company coverage forms for compliance with state specific requirements
    • Draft insurance company coverage forms
    • Perform coverage comparisons of forms of two or more insurance companies
    • Complete state Department of Insurance (“DOI”) requirements checklists
    • Respond to interrogatories from the DOI on form filings
    • Review client operations for compliance risks

The Director will also be responsible for:

    • Keeping abreast of changes in laws affecting forms and insurance company operation
    • Coaching, training and providing guidance to professional staff members
    • Drafting proposals and discussing services with prospective clients
    • Assigning projects and monitoring staff workload
    • Leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects
    • Ensure staff work product is polished and accurate
    • Assisting with the expansion of the services and the growth of the practice area

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
  • Completion of ARC, ACP or CPCU series of exams
  • Minimum of 15 years of property casualty insurance experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years in a leadership or management position
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Proficiency with NILS, Lexis Nexis and/or Wolters Kluwer reference tools
  • Self-directed, able to create a plan, prioritize initiatives and execute independently and in collaboration with others
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Effective project and time management
  • A Juris doctorate degree is preferred, but not required
