Inês Piquet joined Perr&Knight in 1998. Since 2004, she has served as Perr&Knight’s Regulatory Compliance Manager in Perr&Knight’s Santa Monica, California office. In this capacity Ms. Piquet manages Perr&Knight’s State Filings unit, ensuring best practices and regulatory compliance. She oversees a large staff of professionals, responsible for the assembly and submission of thousands of property and casualty rate, rule and form filings each year. Ms. Piquet has also been key in building, maintaining and cultivating Perr&Knight’s positive working relationships with the various Departments of Insurance. In addition to State Filings Services, Ms. Piquet also manages Perr&Knight’s Bureau Monitor Services, overseeing all Bureau activities, including the monitoring, tracking and analysis of circulars from pertinent property & casualty insurance Bureaus. The Bureau Monitoring division delivers circular summaries in an organized, customizable, and searchable format via www.bureaumonitor.com, keeping clients up to date on loss cost, form and rule revisions, industry trends and important regulatory topics.

Prior to joining our Perr&Knight’s Regulatory Compliance practice area, Ms. Piquet worked in our Competitive Intelligence Practice Area. There she was responsible for overseeing the production and distribution of Perr&Knight’s monitoring products, insurance filing indices, Rate Filing Monitor newsletters, as well as maintenance of RateFilings.com and its originated business. In addition, she managed the company’s property-casualty and life-health filings databases and supervised the acquisition of insurance filings and the retrieval and entering of data related to all filings acquired nationwide.

Ms. Piquet joined the Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals (AICP) in 2005 and was elected Secretary of the AICP Western Chapter that same year. In 2006, she was elected Vice-President of the AICP Western Chapter and became part of the Association’s Government and Industry Relations Committee and the Conference Planning Commitee. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Faculdade da Cidade, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with emphasis in television and radio news broadcast.
