James A. Vallee, FSA, MAAA   |  Consulting Actuary

James A. Vallee is a Consulting Actuary with Perr&Knight. His primary responsibility is to manage the firm's Accident & Health (A&H) actuarial consulting services. His vast A&H product development and pricing experience, in both the individual and group healthcare markets, provides a strong platform for assisting companies with developing, pricing, and filing their A&H products. Jim also has had extensive experience with financial and management reporting, incurred claims and statutory reserving, as well as underwriting, policy form, and operational risk management for A&H insurance companies. In addition, Jim provides actuarial services, including reserve calculations and stop loss analyses, to companies who self-insure their employee benefit programs.

Prior to joining Perr & Knight’s Fort Worth, Texas office, Jim was an A&H pricing and product development actuary at HealthMarkets. In addition, Jim previously held various actuarial positions at Ernst & Young, Milliman, Hewitt and American Health & Life.

Jim graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with a concentration in Actuarial Science in 1995. He became a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries in 2002 and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in 2007.
