Kyle Hales, ACAS, MAAA   |  Principal & Consulting Actuary

Kyle Hales is a Principal & Consulting Actuary with Perr&Knight. He has experience providing property & casualty actuarial services to insurance companies, captive insurers, and self-insurers. Kyle's services include rate development, competitor analyses, rate and form filings, reserve analyses, and funding studies for both personal and commercial lines. He has completed pricing, reserving, and product development work on various types of medical and non-medical professional liability insurance, including hospital, physician, and surgeons medical malpractice, dentist medical malpractice, directors & officers liability, and employment practice liability insurance, as well as many various miscellaneous professional and general liability products. Kyle's personal lines work focused on homeowners and private personal auto pricing, including developing of new rating plans for various homeowners products along with rate, rule, and form filings in all states. His commercial lines pricing projects also extended to commercial auto, commercial property, commercial liability, and warranty products.

Prior to joining Perr&Knight’s Boca Raton, Florida office in 2004, Kyle worked as an Actuarial Analyst of the Property & Casualty Actuarial Department at State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company for five years, where he was responsible for developing rate level indications, proposals, filings, and Department of Insurance correspondences for all commercial automobile and inland marine lines of insurance. He also compiled and analyzed indication, relativity, and base rate change data for personal and commercial automobile insurance lines for various states. Kyle has worked in the property & casualty insurance industry since 1999.

Kyle graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a dual Bachelor of Arts in Mathematical-Economics and a second major in Statistics in 1999. He became a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society in 2004. Kyle is currently pursuing his Fellowship Designation from the Casualty Actuarial Society.
